Fenella Holt  is a member of The Society of Genealogists. She began tracing her own family tree following the sudden death of her father in 1997 and in 2001 was asked to take on research into the ancestry of a close friend. One tree then led to another and in 2004 she realised that she had unwittingly stumbled upon a profession that she found both fascinating and absorbing.

Since then, and many trees later, she has refined her techniques and resources and now takes commissions ranging in complexity from a few census look-ups for those researching their own ancestry, to a full tree beginning with a subject who has no prior ancestral knowledge whatsoever. While she will sometimes take on multi-national families, her expertise and interest chiefly lies in British Ancestry.

Born and brought up in England, she has lived abroad, in various countries, all her adult life,  and is now settled in France.
